What the idea is is, is that if heaven does exist, then it is a place of infinite sadness or all a big lie. Why is that? Well, because if we don't all make it to heaven then there is bound to be a lot of people expecting to see someone who didn't make it. I know it wouldn't be heaven to me if certain faces were missing. It would almost be Hell thinking of them wallowing in purgatory or suffering for eternity.

Thus the sadness.

So a calculating God would ensure that the images of those banished to Hell would be there, though that could only be a facsimile of a soul.

Thus the lie.

My thoughts on heaven are that it is personalized. So your interests and your loves ones would be in your heaven. Becasue lets face it, some people may be fine for heaven, but wouldn't make my heaven pleasant to see. Some peoples heaven would be on a ski slope, while others would enjoy something warm and tropical. Then hell is not seeing these things that you care so deeply for. Just expanding on your thought!

That's a more positive way to look at it and it makes sense. For heaven to be heaven it would have to be personal. Thanks for the insightful feedback.
